This issue is crammed with all the great climbing content you expect: Gavin Lang discusses his project to climb and photograph all of the 3000m peaks in New Zealand, we talk to official IFSC photographer Eddie Fowke about life on the circuit, Erin Allison-Maxwell describes an ascent of Mt Franklin, Jacob Doornebosch reports from the Borland Climbing Meet and Tom Hoyle explains why it took him 13 years to climb Adios Gringos. There are also photos from the first three rounds of the National Indoor Boulder Series, advice on using yoga to upskill your mental climbing prowess, gear reviews, book reviews, film reviews and Richard Thomson reflects on the practice of naming climbing routes.

Sadly, this is also the last issue of The Climber as you know it. The NZAC Board, on recommendation from the Publications Committee, have decided to bring The Climber and New Zealand Alpine Journal together into one publication. This updated design will retain the historical importance and title of the New Zealand Alpine Journal, while integrating the visual appeal and strongest article content from The Climber. The good news is that this means we can return to printing our best content, with the Journal due to be printed this summer and subsequent issues to appear twice per year moving forward. The more timely content from The Climber will not be lost either, we are in the process of building a new web platform to host all the club updates, climbing news, gear reviews and other content you enjoy. For more information on these changes and the future publications strategy, see here.

While your browser will most likely let you read it online when clicking the link above, for the best viewing experience I recommend using the download button and then opening the file for the best fullscreen experience.
